Vision and Mission
The vision of BALTDEFCOL is to be a high quality and widely respected international military educational institution.
The Mandate of the College is to educate:
1. General Staff Officers - Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC);
2. Leaders of Transformation - Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC);
3. Senior Civil Servants - Civil Servants Course (CSC);
4. Short-term tailored courses according to the request from the Baltic states.

Col Eric Walters was awarded BALTDEFCOL Medal of Merit Bronze

Colonel Eric Walters has contributed to the BALTDEFCOL’s educational processes as GL since 2009 by addressing the students of the JCGSC on evolution of modern warfare, purpose of military doctrine and on military strategists; and the students of the HCSC on the utility of force. He also contributed to the preparation of the case studies of the center of gravity analysis.

The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) started its new school year on 9 August with the assembling of the Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC) 2010/2011 and the Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) 2010.
Handover of the keys of new BALTDEFCOL dormitories

On 8 August took place the official opening of the new BALTDEFCOL dormitories during which Estonian Defence Minister H.E. Mr Jaak Aaviksoo handed over the keys of the new buildings to the Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL Brigadier General Gundars Abols.
