BG Abols participated in CoC “Visitors´ Day”

BALTDEFCOL Commandant BG Gundars Abols among the General Officers and Senior Officers from 13 different countries visited the NATO Defense College (NDC) on 20 January during the “Visitors´ Day” to tighten the multilateral relationships between the NDC and the various high level educational institutions participating in the Conference of Commandants (CoC).

After being welcomed by the NDC Commandant, Lieutenant General Wolf-Dieter LOESER, the heads of institutions and other representatives joined NDC key staff members to share their experiences in military education.

During the all day long sessions the participants of the event visited the “Negotiation, Mediation and Decision Making Exercise” of the Senior Course and, later on, took part in the final plenary session. The high level representatives of educational institutions were briefed about the different NDC courses, committee work and evaluation of course members, and were updated on the process of developing new Strategic Concept for NATO.

The meeting was organized in the framework of the next CoC which will be held in Istanbul in May.
